What matters for this exact combination

Cathay Pacific requires visual verification for lithium-powered electronic devices and spare lithium batteries in the 100–160 Wh band. Devices in checked baggage must be completely switched off and protected from damage.

Cathay Pacific note: Cathay Pacific permits a maximum of two power banks, requires them in cabin baggage under the seat rather than in checked baggage or overhead storage, and prohibits their use or recharging onboard. Its battery page publishes 20 small spare batteries and up to two 100–160 Wh spare batteries; batteries with unclear Wh markings may be refused.

Before you pack

  • Count every loose/spare drone battery, not only the standard pack.
  • Keep spare lithium batteries protected against short circuit and in cabin baggage.
  • Add power banks separately because 2026 rules can be stricter than ordinary spare-battery limits.
  • If your itinerary has a connection, check every operating carrier — the stricter segment can control the practical result.
